In early 2020 — as Covid-19 surged and the world suffered through months of shutdowns — my wife, our two sons, and I decided to get chickens. Driving to a farm in the Bay Area, we brought home Anna and Elsa. The pair started as tiny, fluffy chicks and rapidly grew into two massive, friendly, egg-laying birds.
