Samsung Unpacked reveals new Galaxy Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Galaxy Watch4 and more
Samsung never gave up. It never gave in. Despite a very bumpy start, Samsung’s commitment to folding-screen mobile devices has only grown, now culminating in two new third-generation folding phones that refine the art of the bend and innovate on materials, screens, and hidden cameras.
The just-completed Samsung Unpacked presentation, one of the biggest virtual tech events of the summer didn’t focus solely on phones. Samsung’s Bluetooth ear buds got an update (Buds2), and the eagerly-anticipated Galaxy Watch4 and the new co-developed Wear OS (which appears to combine the best of Google’s original watch operating system and Samsung’s power-sipping Tizen OS). The new watch is thinner, lighter, more power efficient (it has a 5 nanometer chip) and, according to Samsung, a better wearable health device. It can even track snoring!
Still, the flexy Android phones are the true stars of this show.
