The Best Camera for the Average User in 2021
The camera you always carry with you is the best camera you can buy
I have a Fujifilm mirrorless camera. For this story, the model is irrelevant. The reason for that is simple. I rarely take it out with me unless I have planned a day of photography. That's roughly £1000 worth of kit sitting idle at the moment I may need it.
Why I don’t carry a camera kit with me as part of my EDC (Everyday Carry)
The camera kit is bulky. Even a small mirrorless camera such as mine is an unwieldy object to carry. Taking the dog for a walk or popping to the pub for a quick pint doesn’t pair well with a hefty camera bag. Like most people, I rarely leave home without my phone. In my case, the iPhone 12. Carrying minimal equipment when out with the dog means I can capture scenes like the one below.
The iPhone 12 has a decent camera, for a phone, but it is by no means a professional camera. It does ensure I am always carrying a camera and some editing software.
